The search for enduring excellence in organisations has 3 stages of break throughs – disciplined people, disciplined thought and disciplined action. Disciplined people is all about level 5 leadership and the team and Jim Collins in his wonderful book “Good To Great” describes such leaders as those who channel their ego needs away from themselves into the larger goal of building a great company. Their ambition is first and foremost the institution or organisation, not themselves.
These leaders focus on bulding lasting greatness through a paradoxical blend of personal humility and professional will. An unwavering resolve to do whatever it takes to produce sustained long term results. Acting with quiet, calm determination while relying on inspired standards, not charisma, to motivate.
They strive to build deeply committed, strong management teams. The underlying belief being that the right people will do the right things and deliver the best results regardless of the incentive system.
What it also means as a corollary is that little attention is required to be paid towards managing change or motivating people – under the right conditions, these problems will simply go away. The conventional view is one that says people deliver the best and are the most productive when the organisation works towards motivating them appropriately.

I would like share my thoughts on that picture on the post
I was observing that picture, if the leader in that picture has the right people and created that right condition or environment the platform will be ideal for that leader to propel the organization, given the current economic situation which is dynamically changing both within the business world and employee behavior. It would be important for that leader to re-check that motivational temperature of their employees.
I believe getting to understand and working closer on the emotional characteristics of the employees will be effective to find that right people and create that right condition within the organization. Many ways employee’s gets motivated to work. Eg: I love my family, I want to complete my home, I like the brand I work for, I like the product/services, I want to grow in this company, I want to buy something for my girl, my colleagues and friends are great in this company, countless reason for an employees to be motivated, probably some old one‘s have taken a back seat and new ones have cropped up during these economic downturn.. I myself discovered a new one.

I just took my PSP out of the cupboard after a long time. It has the custom firmware 2.71 SE-B” installed. Since I’ve been out of the scene for quite a while I really have no clue where to start. I tried one of the threads in the tutorial section which advised me to update to 5.03 official firmware, but when I try doing that I get the “DADADADA” error (I guess because I already have a custom firmware). So what is the best method for me to get to the latest and greates custom firmware? And also, which one is the best custom firmware to use at the moment?
